Cookie policy
A plain account of the small amount this website keeps in your browser, what each item is for, and how to get rid of it.
Last updated 10 September 2026The short version. This is a catalogue site rather than a shop counter. There is no basket, no checkout and no account to sign into, so the site has almost nothing to remember about you between one page and the next. What ends up in your browser is a handful of entries, most of them put there by WordPress simply to make the pages work.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to hold on to. The next time you load a page, the browser hands it back, which is how a site works out that two page views belong to the same visit. Other techniques do a similar job under different names, local storage and session storage among them, and this policy treats all of them the same way. What matters is what gets kept and for how long.
Who is doing the storing
primepatio-diy.com is operated by FLOFUM, S.L., trading as PrimePatio DIY, of Calle Parcerisa 13, Local 1, 08014 Barcelona, Spain, CIF B75621250. Anything on this page can be queried by email at support@primepatio-diy.com.
Why so little is set here
Most retail sites carry a lot of storage because they have a lot to keep track of: a basket in progress, a signed-in session, a hand-off to a payment provider. None of that applies to us. Enquiries come in by email or over the phone, we confirm the figure with you, and the courier collects the cash when the goods reach your door. No card number ever passes through this website, because there is no gateway here to send one to.
We also run no advertising trackers. There is no social network tag, no remarketing script and no third-party advertising cookie anywhere on this site. Should that ever change, this page is rewritten and the question is put back to you before the code goes live, not after.
What is actually stored
| Name | Set by | What it does | Type | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | primepatio-diy.com (WordPress) | Ties the requests in a single visit together, so a submitted enquiry form comes back with the right confirmation message. | Strictly necessary | Until you close the browser |
| wordpress_test_cookie | primepatio-diy.com (WordPress) | A one-off check that your browser will accept a cookie at all, before the site attempts to set a real one. | Strictly necessary | Until you close the browser |
| pp_cookie_choice | primepatio-diy.com | Holds your answer to the consent notice, so the same question is not put to you on every page. | Preference | 6 months |
| _ga | Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics | Gives your browser a random reference number so that a return visit is not counted as a second person. | Analytics | 13 months |
| _ga plus the property reference | Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics | Keeps the state of the current visit for that same analytics property, such as which page it began on. | Analytics | 13 months |
Anyone signed into the WordPress administration area picks up two or three further cookies from the software itself. Those belong to our own staff working on the site and are never set for a visitor reading the pages.
Choosing, and changing the answer later
On a first visit a notice sits at the foot of the screen with two straightforward options. Nothing in the analytics group runs until you press accept. Turn it down and the strictly necessary entries in the table stay put, because the pages genuinely will not function without them, but nothing further is written.
To reverse a decision, delete pp_cookie_choice, or clear this site’s cookies altogether using the steps below, then reload any page. The notice reappears and you can answer the other way. Consent is also asked for again whenever we add a tool that the table above does not already cover.
Clearing cookies in the four main browsers
- Google Chrome. Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies, then See all site data and permissions. Search for primepatio-diy.com and delete the entry.
- Mozilla Firefox. Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data, then Manage Data. Find primepatio-diy.com, remove it, and save the change.
- Safari. The Safari menu, then Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data. Select primepatio-diy.com and remove it.
- Microsoft Edge. Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies and site data, then See all cookies and site data. Locate primepatio-diy.com and delete it.
All four also offer a blanket clear-everything option, and a private window that throws its storage away the moment it closes. Menu wording shifts between versions, so fall back on the browser’s own help pages if a step does not match. On a phone these controls live inside the browser app rather than in the device settings.
If you block the lot
The site still reads perfectly well. Every page, price, delivery term and contact route works with cookies switched off. The one visible effect is that the consent notice may greet you on each visit, because the record of your answer is itself one of the things being blocked. Nothing is held back from anyone who refuses.
How this sits with the privacy policy
This page deals only with what is stored on your own device. What happens to the information you send us, a name, a delivery address, a telephone number, an enquiry about a fire bowl, is set out separately, along with how long it is kept and your rights of access, correction, deletion and objection under the GDPR. The two documents are written to be read together.
Revisions
This policy was last reviewed on 10 September 2026. When something is added to the site that stores anything in your browser, the table above is updated and the date at the top of this page moves with it. If a wording here is unclear, write to support@primepatio-diy.com and we will explain it properly.
